Old people AREN'T boring: Pensioners are more likely to make risky decisions than teenagers due to their high spirits

Contrary to popular belief, old people aren't boring.

Each of the 105 options offers a certain probability of winning or losing money. They were all informed of the potential gains or losses.

The study also found that older participants tend to make decisionsworse than their younger counterparts.

In particular, they were less likely to choose the option with the greatest possible financial return.

Dr. Pachur added: 'these differences in the quality of the decision areattributable to the decrease in the fluid in old age intelligence, i.e. seniors decreases ability to process information and solve problems quickly.'
